1. The path to eternal living is through our belief in Jesus Christ.
Through our belief we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

2. When we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit the Lord tells us to put off our old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of our minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
The faith to put off our old self comes from hearing the word about Christ.

3. Desires of the old self which is being corrupted by deceitful desires in our hearts will die. The part of you that lives like this will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
John 12:25, Galatians 6:8, John 17: 2-3, 1 Corinthians 6:7-11, 1 Corinthians 15:50, Galatians 5:16-21
4. Desires of the new self that walks by the Holy Spirit, will live forever.
1 Peter 1:22-25, 1 John 2:15-17, John 3:31-36, Romans 6:23
5. There are rewards now, for those that walk by the Holy Spirit.
Galatians 5:22-26, Matthew 5:3-12, John 15:1-17, Philippians 4:4-8
6. Our obedience to the Holy Spirit is also rewarded in eternity.
